EA sichert sich die NFL für 5 Jahre exklusiv

Hiobsbotschaft für Fans des amerikanischen Sportes. Electronic Arts hat sich für 5 Jahre exklusiv die kompletten Rechte an der NFL (National Football League), deren Spielern, Stadiums und Football Serien gesichert. Die exklusiven Rechte schließen sogar Online-Modi für Konsole ein. Desweiteren gelten diese Rechte für Action Simulationen, Arcade Spiele und Manager Videospiele für alle Plattformen.

Im Klartext heisst das, dass einzig EA Sports über alle Lizenzen verfügen wird. Wie sich das auf SEGAs ESPN Serie auswirkt, bleibt abzuwarten. Allerdings dürfte es jetzt noch schwieriger werden, die Football Spielem an den Mann zu bringen.
